I, Cullen, had a reunion with a woman who I went to school with back in the Philippines 55 years ago. We did not have much time to reminisce since it’s our opening day. We were able to give Liz and her friend Maria a tour of the Albergue.
First day as Hospitaleros, we had two pilgrims from the United States, a grandfather and grandson. The grandson is 20 and is thinking about the priesthood. Both are very nice folks. We all went to mass where the priest gave them a pilgrim’s blessing. For dinner we made a bean au vin, tomato salad, and flan
